It's summer.

OP is annoying and persistent and your generic Tumblr introvert (though the line "I honestly felt persecuted for my femininity" stands out) but then kikikikida (who I can't stand, personally, anyone else?) comes along with one of the most entitled snowflake posts I've ever seen crop up on egl.

WHO is running this facebook account? Who has this kind of free time? Who is making all those shoedazzle and Hanes pantyhose purchases?? THIS IS MADNESS. Whoever it is has been running this page for at least a year, non-stop, with a steady stream of posts and 'recent purchases' pictures and whatnot.

The ~~troll~~ (actual Frances?) has recently started obsessing over lolita/4chan again, but this time in a negative way.

EDIT: Frances is, probably, most likely, real. Unless a troll would go to such lengths as to order pantyhose and magazine subscriptions in Frances' name and take pics (as laiferr has pointed out). And if they actually have... please get help, troll-chan.

A few weeks ago we had a similar one that I just can't find, and I'm sure I've seen a couple more in older posts.

What's it with Lolitas and controlling boyfriends?? I get that it's hard to wear a fashion that is so clearly different, not mainstream, and so attention grabbing, it's hard to get your loved ones to accept it. But why do these girls let their boyfriends tell them what to wear, buy them clothes, and just hang their heads and say "okay"? Lolita attracts so many troubled people. I wish these girls would understand what they are doing. It's scary to show oneself as one is, but letting others tell you what to do is such a worse situation.
Sorry for the seemingly pointless rant, but seeing girls being doormats just pisses me off.

This is a somewhat innocent noob post at first. Just a noob reminding us that they're a special snowflake and proud of it, but this comment made me roll my eyes until they practically fell out of my head.

Yea, um thanks for the warm welcome.... I'm not a troll I came here thinking maybe I MIGHT get some real help putting together my Lolita look because I have been told that people here are nice but..... I guess I did get off on the wrong foot. there isn't really a place for intro posts. I Catch a olt of flack from people who just can't move past my not wanting to have a petti.
All my outfits are casual, I chose that to avoid the petti. But I can't seem to get help from people moving forward. second my ears are a part of me and so is Lolita.but reaction like this tells me I can't be a Fur and Lolita at the same time. I sew, so i make all my own outfits, with this I can devise way to make any of my skirts look fuller with out the petti.

Sorry for not being a toll but Gee ............... Yeah I just started my account today after not haveing a LJ for 8 years, all because I wanted to talk with other Lolita who might help me and didn't know where to start. I'm not a total newbie, I did a lot of research finding out if there were outfits and styles that fit what I wanted before doing it. Butit's hard to get help when people are so rude.

sakuranishiarai is a new store-only shopping service with astronomical fees. During the Milky Planet re-release he was offering to buy MP items direct from the store with almost $100 in fees, even admitting that he would be overcharging just to pick up smaller items like socks and headbows. I had even asked him previously about in-store shopping for the MP rerelease until I saw his ridiculous rates on the fb sales comm.

But what takes the cake is this post.

I've seen the OP go for $430 on the FB sales. How the fuck is this worth $500? The print actually looks faded. How is that "IMMACULATE" and "SUPER POPULAR"? Just because it's a highly sought print doesn't mean you can blatantly scalp it from Closet Child and overcharge for it without anyone noticing. How dumb does he think we are? This is artificial inflation. Even the JSK on mbok and yjapan auctions goes for less than $500 even with a different shopping service's fees.

And of course comes the hilarious results, of people jumping at the prospect of a $200 authentic Sugary Carnival. And at first he's not so rude to his potential customers...

...but as for his next comments, he gets rude and snarky.

"Reading comprehension?" You make a mistake on your sales post and blame everyone else for taking it seriously? Seriously, how rude can you get?

Then he adds this comment. Condescending tone yet again.

Sure it's a stretch that someone would sell for $200 but don't be such a dick to potential customers. He's really ruining his business by acting this way.

Bought a Chess Story Starry Night Angel jsk from her through Lolita Sales in English on Facebook. She kept claiming she was going to/had shipped it but didn't until a month later as soon as I try to get my money back from Paypal.

May 10th, 10pm PST update: aeske, who bought the other jsk from the same sales post/seller, confirmed she also had similar problems with this seller. She will be posting her experiences tomorrow.

Timeline
April 5: gave paypal
April 6: she had issues invoicing so I sent the money
she said "I will let you know after I look at my schedule today at work what day I'll be going"
April 8: I remind her to get tracking when she ships
April 12: She has it packed but has an emergency so she'll ship on Monday (15th)
April 17: Asked if she shipped it, she says she'll ship it tomorrow
April 20: still nothing, I tell her I'm going to file an issue with Paypal. She claims she's been busy with her full time job.
I go to usps.com and find a place near her town (15 mins away) that is open 6am-10pm Mon-Sun. She says she'll "check it out".
April 24: she claims she's shipped
May 2: I tell her it has not arrived (no response)
May 4: Paypal notifies me deadline is approaching for escalating. I let her know. (no response)
May 6: I escalate it to a Paypal claim. A few hours later she messages me that she's shipped it. Gives me a tracking #
May 7: Tracking # does indeed work
May 9: asks if it was delivered and if I can remove the claim
May 10: I receive item and open it. The printing seems faded and she said it was a new item. :/
again she asks if I have cancelled the claim
I cancel the claim. She promptly blocks me on Facebook.

3 problems I have with her:
1. If you don't have the time to ship an item, why would you sell it?
2. Why lie about shipping the item, and do so multiple times?
3. Why be so immature and block me? Problems don't go away by blocking people.

Cast your minds back to 2007. Do you recall a special snowflake? A special snowflake who posted a coordinate to EGL wearing a KStar petticoat as a skirt, and then upon learning that it was in fact a petticoat, not a skirt, promptly flipped her lid, refusing to believe it wasn't a skirt, and flounced? It was posted to getoffegl tagged under epic drama, but sadly only the remnants of this post and her attempts to troll remain. Hilarious times for all those who witnessed it, but if you did not, don't worry! Mallory has made her return in the most drama-prone of all places: /cgl/.

EDIT 2: It appears to be over, for now...

To start us off, Mallory has apparently been using a trip on /cgl/ as Yui, and when one of her old outfits is posted in an Old School vs Ita thread, she shows up and reveals herself to have a harmless chuckle over her past ita clothing and poor temper. Anons are receptive of her initially until another anon shows up to confront Mallory for being the victim of her constant bullying and internet stalking in past years on a different forum(something that Mallory even admits to have doing). Mallory begs forgiveness, and anon's response is where the real magic happens. I know this is huge, but dear God it is worth the read.

(Shout out to anon who capped these, removed fluff, and put them in order!)

While vendetta-anon never returns to speak any more about the manner (or at least, never reveals herself again) the thread explodes over her smack down and Mallory's subsequent sorry-but-not-sorry because I am holier-than-thou response. Gifs are flung while certain anons dig a bit deeper and find that Mallory does have an awful reputation for going to forum after forum and stirring the shit until it explodes.

The fall out? Well, even though Mallory claims that she won't stop posting in the thread because it doesn't make her look bad and she will still continue to use her trip across the board:

She reverts back to her typical behavior of deleting EVERYTHING and fleeing.

"Anon", though, comes back claiming to have discovered who vendetta-anon really is, that she is not to innocent as previously thought, and even though anon isn't sure that this is the right person, posts all of their social media information.

This is greeted by the rest of the thread with essentially, "Shut up, Mallory."

PART DEUX

I'm just going to sum up, because this thread got way too crazy to keep up with capping everything. Things had started to wind down, with everyone loling over Mallory, when she shows up again, proudly under her Yui trip. You can see her posts in the comments, thanks for the caps keiryou! I'd post them up here, but it's already so image heavy.

Anyways, Mallory continues her tirade that it was definitely this Michelle girl who posted about her, even though the stories don't match and she literally has nothing to prove this other than "a strong suspicion". She apparently can't stand that anon is calling her a cunt "for shit she never did" EVEN THOUGH SHE ADMITTED TO DOING IT. Then she starts crying about how hard her life is and how no one knows/understands her story and she is just trying to stand up for herself. Anon is having none of that. She insists that she truly meant her apology to vendetta-anon (AKA righteous vendetta-anon), but then says "I should've just let things go and let her have her haughty NO I'M FINE NOW FUCK YOU HAHA BIIITCH DON'T WANT UR HELP way, but nope. Mallory does not learn from past mistakes. =/".

Apparently haughty is her favorite insult for people she doesn't like.

Anon loses it's collective shit over this until Mallory is crying again that she is misunderstood and not really as big a bully as vendetta-anon is making her out to be. She asks /cgl/ how she can better herself, and then admits that she isn't sure that vendetta-anon was Michelle, even though she was "99%" sure it was. Anon keeps brow beating because she just won't stop posting, and Mallory calls them all "rabid". A nice slice of hypocrisy from the girl who internet stalked a 13-year-old with a mother dying of cancer and told her to kill herself.

This is where she admits to dropping her trip and posting the above information about Michelle and her social media accounts. She cries again about wanting to better herself, responds to a couple anons about how she is going to listen to their posts, and leaves her final words under her trip.

Seeing how this is really similar to her first apology, anons have nothing other than a laugh at this. And I'm putting in my ~professional~ opinion to say that I agree with them. Just from the getoffegl posts you can see that Mallory has been at this shit for years. Also, meanwhile on Michelle's tumblr, she posts all the anonymous hate mail she's been getting, almost certainly from Mallory herself. So she's still harassing people, online, at 26-years-old. Yeah, I'm not buying any of your bullshit today, Mallory.

LESSON 1: If you have a long history of harassing and stalking people, maybe you shouldn't attach your name to everything so proudly, because it might come back to bite you in the ass.

LESSON 2: Anon never pities the fool.

I'm just going to go through your review and point a few things out:

1.) You were aware that she probably needed more measurements and instead of sending them you decided to be "a little sadistic." So you figured at this point you'd get back a garment that didn't fit but still ordered? You wanted to "test her business" that's just, wow.

2.) You sent her money and when she didn't respond with a confirmation you decided she might be a scam instead of shooting her a 1 minute email asking if she received it? Did you even read the about page on her site? I just went and looked and it says this: "If you are concerned about ordering, we recommend you pay for your order in stages (i.e. with an initial deposit, and the rest on completion). The order must be paid in full before any items are sent."

3.) She is required by the paypal TOS to ship to the address on the original paypal transaction. If she ships to ANY other address even if you gave it to her then she is no longer protected. She even has this on her site: "Delivery addresses must be correct. If paying by Paypal, your order address must match your Paypal address. We are not responsible for any problems or delays arising from incorrect postal details. "

4.) Your biggest complaint is that the item is too short on you when it is clearly the same length as it is in the stock photos. It's not tucked in for the stock photos and you can easily see that it only just reaches the waist band.

5.) Does it say ANYWHERE on her site that she will ship with tracking or that you should expect a tracking #? On the about page it says there is no tracking actually. "International orders are either sent by standard airmail, with a postal certificate, or International Signed-For (included for orders over £50, or on request for smaller ones)"

I really didn't want to bring attention anymore to this, but we HAVE to do something about this. I even showed it to a friend and he said it was a disturbing message, and he's not very easily disturbed.

Don't say to ignore him, we already tried and he is still here. In lunagoonie's post someone said he randomly messaged them to ask if they were still angry at him. And what really is disturbing is his insistence of bringing up ages. So the girls who forgave him aren't of age. So what?! He's getting what he wants doesn't he?!

I just wish someone would to some magic and bring his tumblr and yt channel down.

This is probably a fail post but I just wanted to point out the utter hilarity that is the scammer formerly known as maikodolly. I have no life and was wondering what our good pal Maiko Dolly Fantaji was up to and if she paid everyone back since that wank seemed to have quieted down and everyone has forgotten. Tumblr Petti War????

I haven't been on Tumblr a lot lately, but I still like to go through the lolita tags to keep up with the latest happenings with brands.

Then I see this post.
WTF.

As the link implies, evidently, a bunch of tumblr lolita beginners have decided to rebel against the petti! This being the best example of said rebellion.

So I dug a little deeper and it seems that this post is what started it. Looking at the notes, I just have one question...

Why?!?

It's a petticoat. It's not even that expensive, if you know where to look. I understand that to a beginner, petticoats may seem like an extra expense, but it's worth it. Which many Lolita Tumblrs are trying to stress.
This is my favorite though.

Bravo, shadesoflolita, bravo.

EDIT: Here's a link to one of the blogs explaining that you CAN choose to not wear a petti with lolita dresses, but then you just can't call it Lolita.
